WCSA Plumber Training Programme – Basic Level 4

Description

WCSA is presenting Basic Level 4 of its Plumber Training Programme,
Water Analysis Reports – How to Spot the Issues, on 5 November (in
person) and 12 November (on-line) The session runs in person at WCSA
Germiston, 20 seats) and online via Zoom, for approximately 3 hours.
Plumbers and installers are increasingly asked to install treatment
equipment on borehole, well point, rainwater and municipal supplies.
Installing without knowing what is in the water leads to the wrong
system, plumbing fittings and pipes corroding, equipment that fails
within weeks, and in the worst case water that is unsafe to drink. A
laboratory water analysis report is the starting point, but most installers
have never been shown how to take a sample correctly, how to read
the layout and units of a report, or how to tell when a reading is outside
its acceptable range. Interpreting a full analysis and designing
treatment from it is specialist work that takes years to learn. This
session therefore gives installers enough literacy to spot a problem,
hold a credible conversation with the customer, and know when and
how to hand the report to a technical specialist.
