License to lead

Description

Online course in 5 parts with 6 modules in each part. 30 modules in total.

The License to Lead online learning program empowers the learner with essential leadership qualities, tools and techniques and benefits the individual learner (Plumber) as well as the organization (Plumbing business) and the industry as explained in the attached course description. Here are a few specific examples;

  1. Every owner of a plumbing business needs all 30 essential leadership skills to manage the concern and effectively lead fellow workers and stakeholder relationships
  2. Experienced plumbers must develop, mentor and coach others (some of the essential dimensions included in the License to Lead program)
  3. Many plumbers are employed in supervisory roles where they need all leadership dimensions to lead the performance of fellow plumbers and helpers
  4. The License to Lead programme prepares aspirant leaders with competence and confidence to step up from their technical roles into (more) responsible supervisory positions
  5. Every successful workplace needs leadership, not only the appointed “boss” but everyone should influence (lead and direct) others to ensure productivity, health, and safety
  6. The License to Lead program introduces complex dimensions like ethics, integrity, accountability, etc in a practical way for every leader to understand why and how to apply in the operational workplace
  7. The program equips the learners to build and maintain trust through effective relationships and stakeholder management within and outside the company
  8. PIRB wishes to advance training across all levels. When someone steps up from “doing” all the work to leading others to do (part of) the work, they need regular reminders and refresher exercises developing essential leadership dimensions. We will be glad to cooperate with PIRB supporting the industry in this way.
  9. We publish new content every year, based on insights from most recent research; thereby keeping leaders informed and focused on what they should be doing
  10. Good leadership leads to better productivity, quality, engagement and employee wellbeing (See reference to Gallup research in the course description)
